GRAT (guitar school) | | | About me | Mickaël is originally from sunny Aix en Provence, France, he has been singing and playing the guitar for 15 years. He started writing music at the tender age of 16 for Infogrames (Europe's biggest entertainment software publisher).
He has been guitarist and singer in different bands (jazz trio, 7 piece funk band, pop/rock band…), he is regularly doing live performances with DJs (Bob Sinclar) and is a session guitarist for artists such as Dave Parkinson (Happy Mondays), Maria Lawson (X-Factor) or Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull).
He has been playing different types of gigs from big festivals in south of France to night cruises along the river Seine in Paris and prestigious venues such as the Point in Dublin (10000 spectators).
Mickaël has been experimenting many different styles and loves to be versatile. His influences are very diverse from rock to soul, funk, world music and jazz.
His influences are "classical" guitarists like Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy page, genius composers like Jeff Buckley, modern rock bands like Radiohead or Muse, world artists like Richard Bona and Talvin Singh.
